The 4th edition of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Tournament 2026 was held on July 25 at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Assembly Complex, Kohima.
The tournament was organized by the Assembly Aces Club, Kohima.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation across various disciplines, including badminton, table tennis, carrom, and ludo. Participants displayed remarkable sportsmanship, teamwork, and a healthy competitive spirit throughout the event.
The event was graced by Neibalie Rio, Special Officer to the Chief Minister of Nagaland, as the special guest.
In his address, Rio encouraged the participants to uphold the values of fair play, discipline, and excellence. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining good health and discipline, and fostering community spirit through sports.
The tournament commenced with an exhibition badminton match led by the special guest, marking the official opening of the event. The exhibition match added excitement and set a positive tone for the day’s competitions.
Throughout the tournament, participants showcased impressive performances, drawing enthusiastic support from spectators, officials, and invited guests.
Meanwhile, the organizers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all participants, officials, volunteers, and supporters whose cooperation and dedication contributed to the successful conduct of the tournament.
