MotoX with Northeast Championship Round 2026 concludes in Mokokchung

The 9th Auto & MotoX, along with Round One of the Northeast Championship 2026, concluded at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on February 7 after a two-day event organised by the Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM).

Winners and organisers with special guest Wangpang Konyak during the prize distribution ceremony at the conclusion of the 9th Auto & MotoX and Round One of the Northeast Championship 2026 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung, organised by the Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung on February 7.

The two-day event, held from February 6–7, featured competitive AutoX and MotoX races with a prize purse of Rs 3.50 lakh. Participants from Kohima, Dimapur and Mokokchung took part in what organisers described as a state-focused championship round aimed at promoting organised motorsport in Nagaland. The closing ceremony was attended by Wangpang Konyak, MLA and Advisor for Social Welfare, who graced the prize distribution as special guest.

Among the standout performers was Ruokuobeituo of Kohima Adventure Motorsports Club, who secured the fastest driver title and also topped the AutoX Open category. Teammate Thezieu Kire finished second in the Open division and went on to claim victory in the Below 1300cc category, where Ruokuobeituo and Chumdemo of Spearhead Motorsports completed the podium. Chumdemo also finished third in the Open class.

The MotoX Open race saw Hukhoto Chuzho take first place ahead of Bedukho Rhakho and Neithoser Soukhrie, with Justin, Asa, Liron, Alem Jamir and Alem following in the standings. In the Beginner category, Khruzoto Khesoh emerged winner, while Khrishna Sharma and Lhousivile Meyase finished second and third respectively. Perong, Alem, Rinko, Jungshi, Moasen, Shalo Kent and Akum completed the field.

Participation remained entirely within Nagaland, with approximately 60 four-wheel entries in the AutoX events and 17 riders competing in the MotoX races.
