At the Ongpangkong Conference in Khensa village on January 17, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Mokokchung and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), Chumlamo Humtsoe, addressed critical challenges facing the district. Humtsoe highlighted the shortage of land for essential public services, including the town cemetery and waste dumping site.
“The MMC is running out of land for purposes such as the town cemetery and waste disposal,” said Humtsoe. He appealed to the landowners of Mokokchung town, urging them to come forward and assist in addressing these pressing issues by providing land for these crucial needs.
