Mokokchung, 12 July (MTNews): The Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) has directed all proxy teachers under the District Education Office (DEO), Mokokchung to immediately cease their activities.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, the AKM said that the practice of keeping proxy teachers presents substantial obstacles to the scholarly progression and comprehensive learning experience of students.
The AKM urged the School Management Committee (SMC) and School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) to exercise utmost vigilance in this matter and to refrain from engaging any proxy teachers within their jurisdiction.
The AKM also mandated that no employee shall depart from their designated posting place without obtaining prior permission for leave from the appropriate and authorized authority.
The AKM said that it has come to its attention that despite government directives, there has been a rampant presence of proxy teachers in many government schools.
The AKM also informed all government school teachers in-charge to maintain diligent records of teachers’ attendance to ensure the smooth functioning of their respective institutions.
The AKM also informed all government teachers and staff who are posted in Mokokchung District but not residing in the station to promptly return to their designated posting places. The AKM said that failure to comply with this appeal by the concerned school officials will result in necessary actions being initiated against them.
