9-year old Akumsen Lemtur of Kelingmen Village, is known for her soulful and passionate singing talent, who captivates people with her confidence and her fantastic vocal control. She is no less than an inspiration amongst the kids her age. Currently, a student of Eden Academy and a resident of Yimyu ward, she also finds happiness in gardening, meeting new people and taking care of pets.
On a heart-filling note, the young singer called upon all the ‘young warriors of cancer’ to ‘continue fighting the good fight’, as she remembers them deeply in the International Childhood Cancer Day.
“My heart goes out for all battling cancer. My prayers are with you. We can all be winners,” she said, while speaking to Mokokchung Times. “I am very young now but in the future I am ready to lend helping hand in my own capacity,” she added.
Feeling honored, motivated and blessed with her inborn talents, Akumsen’s gratitude lies for her inspiring parents who have always encouraged her to sing. The little girl, at such a young age, has stolen hearts of many as she experiments her singing with various languages and genres.
Talking about her favorite song and genre, she said she loves yodeling the most and often takes inspirations from different yodelers.
“Cowboy’s Sweetheart is my favorite song because I love yodeling,” she said.
“Let’s all grow up together in music. Keep on singing,” she concluded.
