Mokokchung, July 10 (MTNews): In view of the rising COVID-19 cases in the country as well as in the state, and in the general interest of public health and welfare, the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung has on July 9 issued a public advisory advising all citizens to follow COVID-19 appropriate behavior and protocol including wearing of masks in all public places.

 

The deputy commissioner further advised testing of COVID-19 symptoms and other precautionary measures as well as availing of second dose/booster dose for COVID-19 vaccination as and when eligible.

 

It was also informed that the District Task Force COVID-19 Mokokchung is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation in the district and that further directives shall be issued as per the evolving situation.

 

Meanwhile, Nagaland on Sunday recorded three new COVID-19 cases, one more than the previous day, pushing the tally to 35,546, the state’s health department Covid-19 bulletin said.

 

Mokokchung district reported two fresh cases and Dimapur one, it said. The state now has 35 active COVID-19 cases, three in Mokokchung.
A total of 33,255 people have recovered from the disease and 1,494 have migrated to other states, the bulletin said. The COVID-19 death toll in the state is 758. Nagaland has so far tested a total of 4,75,220 samples for the infection.
