Anamika Borah, a 21-year-old student in the 5th semester of Zoology at DCB Girls College, clinched the title of Miss Assam 2023 in a spectacular evening on 20 October at Ambiance Banquet above Reliance Centro Exotica Greens on Zoo Road, Guwahati.
Rhea Borah, a 24-year-old student pursuing a Master’s in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, secured the 1st runner-up position in Miss Assam 2023 and Bhiolina Boro, a 21-year-old student in the 5th semester of B.Com at Gauhati Commerce College, was awarded the 2nd runner-up position, along with the Miss Talent subtitle.
The panel of judges included Brazilian Supermodel Cristiane Rodrigues, reigning Miss Northeast 2022 and Femina Miss India Meghalaya 2023, Irene Dkhar, the founder and creative director of Wing Model Management Delhi, Nilaiwung, and eminent actor and theater personality of Assam, Kopil Bora, an update received here on Sunday said.
The host for the evening was Assamese actor Udayan Duarah. The show curator, creative director, choreographer, and mentor was Nagaland’s own Supermodel and Mister International India 2012, Opangtongdang Jamir.
The Director and Founder of Miss Assam, Shyamaga Kashyap, along with Co-Director Akumnaro Imsong (Former Miss Nagaland, Miss Mokokchung, and Mega Miss Northeast), announced that Miss Assam 2023 and the 1st runner-up in Miss Assam 2023 will represent the state of Assam at the upcoming Miss Northeast 2023, which will be held in Sikkim on the 5 November 2023.
The update also informed that the official photographer was Jeremy Hauhnar, and the videographer was Anthony.
