Mokokchung, October 13 (MTNews): In an interesting development, several leaders from the 30 Alongtaki Constituency under the umbrella ‘Molungtok Sapang’ in a meeting at Chuba Ozukum’s residence, Half Nagarajan, Dimapur on October 8 resolved to support Er. J Lanu Longchar who is pitted to contest against Minister Temjen Imna Along in the next Nagaland assembly election.
The meeting, reportedly attended by delegates from all villages of 30 Alongtaki Assembly Constituency, shared how the constituency has been neglected and ‘overpowered’ by false promises by the incumbent representative and state BJP president Temjen Imna Along.
The Molungtok Sapang members also assured that they will not beg for any financial assistance during the election from the intending candidate, Er. J Lanu Longchar, and said they would instead contribute and help him.
“Many citizens from the villages who attended the meeting even added that they will donate essential commodities during the campaign and assured that they will surrender everything for the common people’s icon, Er. J Lanu Longchar,” an update received here said.
Expressing the need for a god-fearing and humble leader to oversee the constituency people, convener of ‘Molungtok Sapang’ Chuba Ozukum urged the 30 Alongtaki AC to vote for a principled Naga who is “rooted in the traditions and cultures of the Aos and not a person of two tongues.”
