Aotemulung Kilem, a commercial building constructed by Mopungchuket Senso Telungjem Mokokchung and Aotemolungtsür Telungjem Mokokchung, was inaugurated on Friday, September 6.
The six-storey building, located on AM Road in Alongmen Ward, Mokokchung, adjacent to the Rural Bank, was inaugurated by Rev. Jongpong Jamir, pastor of Mopungchuket Baptist Arogo.
The dedicatory prayer for the building was offered by Rev. Temsuwati Kichu, Associate Pastor of Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo.
Constructed at a cost of Rs 2.14 crore, the first five floors of the building will be rented out for commercial use, while the top floor, featuring a conference hall with acoustic treatment, a kitchen, a reception hall, and washrooms, will serve the unions’ needs and be available for rental for functions and gatherings. The self-funded building’s construction began in March 2022.
The president of MSTM, Aotemsu, welcomed the gathering. Watisutsung, Secretary of the Building Construction Committee, provided a brief report on the project.
Short speeches were delivered by the chairman of Alongmen Ward, the chairman of Mopungchuket Village Council, and the president of Aotemulungtsür Telungjem Mokokchung Town.
The joint venture to build the commercial complex was undertaken with the aim of generating a permanent source of income for Mopungchuket Senso Telungjem and Aotemolungtsür Telungjem Mokokchung.
