ASMITA City League in Shooting Sport concludes in Dimapur

The Asmita City League in Shooting Sport, sponsored by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports through the District Sports Officer, Dimapur, was successfully held at Aries Rifle & Pistol Shooting Academy, Khelo India Centre, Dimapur, on March 25 and 26, 2025.


The event was conducted under the Achieving Sports Milestone by Inspiring Women Through Action (ASMITA) initiative, a Khelo India program to promote sports among women and a holistic approach towards awareness about health & fitness.

A total of 13 shooters, ranging from 9 to 60 years of age, participated in the competition, showcasing their skills and enthusiasm for the sport. The league served as a platform to encourage greater participation in shooting sports while highlighting the importance of physical and mental well-being.

This was stated in a press release issued by Merang Jamir, Past Champion Athlete (PCA), ISSF Judge & ISSF Coach.
