Women for women in Distress
A Talent Night titled Beauty with a Purpose under the theme “Women for women in Distress” was organized by Apokla Pongener, Miss Ao Nagaland 2021 as part of a charity event at Town Hall, Mokokchung on April 30.
Social activist, Krishna speaking at the event stressed on the importance of hygiene and asserted that buying sanitary pads for a girl child should not be considered a burden. The organizers informed that the proceeds from the event would go in distributing sanitary pads to young girls in rural areas.
The event showcased an array of performers including ramp walk by the contestants of Miss Mokokchung 2021, notable musical performances by variety of artist including youtubers Anonymous Jamir, Echognize, Alem Naga, Kito Yepthomi Music, Ning Dang Ri among various others, wherein dance performances by IB Generation and Mokokchung Dance Community lit up the show.
