Mokokchung, April 27 (MTNews): In commemoration of 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a Block Level Health Mela, organized by the District Health Society Mokokchung, was held at Community Health Center, Changtongya on 26th April 2022.
SDO (C) Changtongya, Rorheu Peseyie NCS speaking at the inaugural program thanked the medical fraternity for their relentless effort in fighting the pandemic. He also highlighted the objective of the health mela is to provide better health care facilities to the public. He urged the public to avail the services provided at the health mela.
CMO Mokokchung, Dr. R. Chubala Aier during her short speech stated that the health mela has been organized to improve the health status of the population, through various schemes and also to create awareness and educate the public about different health programs.
A short speech was also delivered by Chairman, All Ward Union Changtongya Town, Imkongmar. The program was chaired by MO, CHC Changtongya, Dr. Imtimongba Kichu while vote of thanks was delivered by SMO CHC Changtongya, Dr. Imtijungshi Aier.
Altogether, 290 persons availed the medical services. Free medicines were also distributed during the event.
