Wokha, January 5 (MTNews): A 42-seater bus carrying 41 troops from the 62nd Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) was involved in an accident near the Doyang River Bridge, about 45 kilometers from Mokokchung on the Kohima-Mokokchung Road today around 3:10 p.m.
Sources stated that within 2 to 3 minutes of the mishap, officers and officials from the ‘F’ and ‘G’ Coys of the 1st Bn SSB Sonapur, who were also on their way to AE-2023 in Tuensang District (Nagaland), were the first to offer assistance and evacuate all 41 BSF personnel.
The injured BSF troops were then transferred to Wokha District Hospital in vehicles provided by the State authority to Coys of 1st Bn SSB.
