Kohima, August 19 (MTNews): K. Therie, President of the NPCC, has come out strongly against the Central Government’s recommendation to pardon the gang rapists in the ‘Bilkis Bano case’, alleging that it revealed the “inner conscience and mind of the BJP.”

“It is not a mistake. It is deliberate. It is a sign of disregarding and disrespecting women and morals of the Nation,” he remarked.

“The question is whether Nagaland’s women and men share such mindset? Do you support gang rape or rape and its perpetrators?” Therie asked in a press statement.
He then asserted that the celebration of those convicts released with garlands and sweets distribution in front of cameras for publicity proves that “they have neither fear of reaction from women gender nor fear of moral keepers.”

“Nagaland cannot be part of this mindset. We can only defy such a brutish party and its corrupt mindset by voting them out,” Therie concluded.
