Nagaland Advisor to CAWD & Taxes, Kudecho Khamo, has called for immediate investigation following reports of alleged substandard blacktopping of roads in Chozuba Town under Phek district.
Concerns were raised after photos and videos circulated on social media platforms, suggesting compromised quality and workmanship in a road construction in Chozuba Town under Phek district. This sparked widespread outrage among the general public, leading to condemnation directed at both the department and the contractor involved.
“Surprisingly, the Contractor was trying to burn down those grasses with gas cylinder on Monday morning after seeing the Social Media on Saturday,” the advisor wrote in a statement to the Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Phek.
The advisor further called for immediate investigation and asked for the findings to be submitted for further necessary action in the interest of the public.
