The Chuchuyimlang Students’ Union (CKT) observed the 6th Noble Deeds Day on October 9 in memory of the late Natwar Thakkar, the founder of the Nagaland Gandhi Ashram in Chuchuyimlang.
According to an update from Marsenla General Secretary, Chuchuyimlang Kaketshir Telongjem, this date is celebrated for his significant contributions to the Naga people and the community through social work and community mobilization.
“Thakkar’s belief in charity and harmony among community members—emphasizing the importance of helping one another—is recognized on this day. Each year, the Chuchuyimlang Students’ Union organizes a social service event to express gratitude and spread the message of Noble Deeds Day throughout the community and society,” the update stated.
