The Dehradun Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU) celebrated its 11th Annual Freshers’ Day with the theme “Redefining Unity” on the 18th of November 2023 at the 7 Miles Farm in Suddhowala, Dehradun.
Miss Sentesangla and Mr Bangtick Phom, both students of Uttaranchal University, emerged as the Miss and Mister Fresher respectively, an update received here said.
The event saw the attendance of student leaders from various northeastern states in Dehradun. Pastor Along Tzudir of NCF Dehradun prayed for the freshers and exhorted the attendees on the theme of the event and reminded them of their purpose.
Dr. Koko Rose, IFS also graced the occasion with his presence. “The event was an overall success and an important milestone in fostering Naga Unity as was emphasized by Architect Bopeto Shohe, President of Naga Students’ Union Dehradun and seconded by Mr. Lumchungli Sangtam, President of Dehradun Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union in their respective speeches,” a press release from Suliba S Sangtam, Information Secretary, DENSU said.
DENSU president assured the freshers of the support of the union for any grievances and asked the freshers to not hesitate to reach out to the union for anything, it added.
