Mokokchung, August 6 (MTNews): The Delhi Ao Senso Telongjem (DAST) celebrated Tsüngremmung on August 6 at Nagaland House, New Delhi with M. Imkongla Jamir IAS, Resident Commissioner, Government of Karnataka, New Delhi and Hibu Tamang IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police & Nodal Officer for NE People, New Delhi as guests of honor.
The celebrations began with a welcome address by Er. N. Ajungba Jamir, president, DAST followed by a folk dance performed by Delhi Ao Kaketshir Telongjem. Er. Imkong Pongen (Retd.) spoke on the significance of Tsüngremmung which was followed by a play performed by children (Delhi Aor Tila Tanurtem).
Apart from the speeches delivered by the guests of honor, other highlights of the celebration included folk songs presented by NAP personnel and Delhi Ao senior citizens. The celebration was also marked by the presentation of awards and honors. Culture Secretary, DAST, Limasashi offered the vote of thanks. The celebration culminated with a mass Tsüngremmung feast.
