Dr. Clark’s Gospel Torch, which was lit in Molungkimong on Saturday to commemorate 150 years of Christianity in Nagaland, reached Mokokchung town today which was marked by a worship service held at Imlong Place in the evening.

Pastor Amit Aryan of Vision India, left, and Rev. Daniel, Bishop of Frontier Churches with the ‘Dr. Clark’s Gospel Torch’

Pastor Amit Aryan, from Nagpur, Maharashtra, who is the national coordinator of Vision India told Mokokchung Times that Rev. Daniel, Bishop of Frontier Churches, is responsible to organize the gospel torch for Dr. Clark from Molungkimong till Delhi. Rev. Daniel, whom Pastor Amit calls ‘a friend of Vision India’ will be assisted by Sentila, Pastor Moaliba and Asangla who is the wife of Daniel.

Sending his message to the people of Mokokchung, Pastor Amit said, just like in Molungkimong , Supongmeren was the first person who went down to Shivsagar to search for his son and there, he got help from an Assamese person named Godhula who helped him find his son. “After finding his son, he understood that he is also the lost son of the creator and Godhula shared the gospel to him. After that he realized that his son which he had found does not have education and that he needed education. There, Dr. Clark comes into the picture where he realizes Dr. Clark can teach his son how to talk,” he narrated.

“Education back then was only given to a few rich people and here comes Clark who brought Jesus Christ, bringing education to the remotest part of India. So now, this is a reciprocal friendship between these three people: lost son is found, man who is lost from God is found by God and everybody receives education from Clark who is dedicated to Lord Jesus Christ,” he continued. “So like that the nation is built and this part of India got so much education,” he added.
