Dr Pratim Talukdar, a leading prosthodontist and implantologist at PA Sangma International Medical College & Hospital (PIMC), has become the first dental surgeon from Northeast India to achieve the prestigious Certificate of Mastership in Implant Dentistry from the Global College of Oral Implantologists (GCOI) on October 4, 2025 (Membership ID: 25-MIC-A-0309).
PIMC, a constituent college of the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM), congratulated Dr Talukdar on the historic accomplishment, noting that it marks a significant milestone for the Northeast region in the field of advanced dental care.
The Mastership is awarded to professionals demonstrating outstanding expertise, academic excellence, and clinical proficiency in implant dentistry. Dr Talukdar successfully completed rigorous criteria set by the GCOI Board of Directors, including advanced continuing education and verified clinical case presentations.
Through this recognition, Dr Talukdar joins an elite group of dental professionals worldwide, affirming his commitment to delivering the highest standards of care in implant dentistry.
Dr Talukdar, a well-respected name in prosthodontics and implantology, holds BDS and MDS degrees and has earned international fellowships including FICOI (USA) and FADI (USA). He specializes in restorative dental surgery, dental implants, and full-mouth rehabilitation, providing advanced dental care with a patient-centered approach.
PIMC, located at 9th Mile, Baridua, Ri-Bhoi District, is a premier medical institution under USTM, approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi, with an MBBS intake of 150 seats.
