Mokokchung, 13 March (MTNews): A launching program for the Electrician Professional Skill Course under All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology (AISECT), Nagaland was held at Jubilee Memorial College (JMC), Mokokchung on 13 March 2024.
AISECT is a prominent institute offering a range of vocational courses including cutting and tailoring, computer training, and electrician courses. Trainees from both within and outside the college have registered for the training course.
During the event, Dr Imtiwati Jamir, the Principal of JMC, highlighted the importance of vocational education, especially in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) of 2020. Dr Jamir underscored how such courses equip students with practical skills essential for employment in specific sectors.
The launching program was headed by Assistant Professor of Sociology, Supongsangla Walling, and also attended by trainer, Imkongwabang.
