The Department of Power, Government of Nagaland, has announced an emergency power shutdown in Mokokchung on February 8 to carry out urgent repair work.
According to a press release issued by the Office of the Sub Divisional Officer, Mokokchung Electrical Sub Division, power supply will remain suspended for eight hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday. The shutdown is required for the replacement of damaged circuit breaker mechanisms and circuit breaker poles at the Mokokchung Power House.
The outage will affect Mokokchung town and all villages falling under the Asetkong and Ongpangkong ranges.
The department expressed regret over the inconvenience likely to be caused to consumers and requested their cooperation during the shutdown period.
