The Red Ribbon Club of Zunheboto Government College organized a series of flash mobs at the Centenary Gate junction and within the college campus on 11 October. The event, conducted under the directives of the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society, aimed to promote HIV and AIDS testing, provide support for individuals living with the virus, and advocate for a drug-free lifestyle.

Participants, clad in red ribbons symbolizing their commitment to the cause, performed choreographed routines that captivated onlookers and drew attention to the critical issue of HIV/AIDS. The energetic performances were interspersed with informative announcements about the importance of testing and the need for community support for those affected.

“We want to break the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS and encourage people to get tested and support one another,” said Jenny Kent, Assistant Professor and Nodal Officer from the Red Ribbon Club. “This event is not just about dancing; it’s about raising awareness and promoting a healthier, drug-free lifestyle,” stated an update from Tokavi K Zhimo.
