BJP Nagaland President Benjamin Yepthomi announced their induction via a post on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the party’s growing influence in the state.

Yepthomi’s entry into the BJP took place in the presence of North East Coordinator Dr. Sambit Patra, National Secretary and Nagaland in-charge Anil Antony, Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton, senior cabinet ministers Jacob Zhimomi and P. Paiwang Konyak, and MLA & Advisor Kropol Vitsu. BJP leaders stated that his experience in governance and tribal affairs would be “invaluable in furthering the BJP’s commitment to inclusive growth and tribal welfare.”

Similarly, Sangtam’s inclusion was also marked by the presence of top BJP leaders. Known for his role in advocating for the ENPO solution, his joining is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the party’s foothold in Eastern Nagaland.

BJP leaders emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the party remains committed to the “holistic development” of Nagaland, with a focus on economic growth, infrastructure, and tribal empowerment.

Both leaders’ induction is being viewed as part of the BJP’s continued expansion in the state, gaining the trust of grassroots communities and key figures in Naga politics.
