A group of 12 people known as the ‘Good Samaritan’ were seen plastering with concrete a main road in Lijaba Lijen Ward, Mokokchung Town measuring a length of about 150-200 meters on Saturday. Members of the Good Samaritan group told Mokokchung Times that they rely completely on donations from members within the group and well-wishers. The group was formed in 2019 by residents of Lijaba Lijen and neighboring wards with the purpose of supporting the welfare of society, one of which is mending pothole-ridden roads. It may be mentioned that the group organizes such road repairing activities from the Police Point to IMDH on a regular basis. (MTNews)
