The Higher Education Department has announced that the final installment of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) Post Matric Scholarship (2023-24) for ST students of Nagaland is set to be released on or before March 31, 2025.
The assurance came following a meeting between Nagaland’s Minister for Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along, and Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram, in New Delhi on March 24, 2025. During the meeting, the Union Minister assured that the pending final installment, amounting to Rs 1274.01 lakhs, would be released soon.
In pursuit of the matter, the Nodal Officer of Post Matric Scholarship also met with officials from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The Ministry has cleared the final installment for release and confirmed that the amount is currently with the Finance Ministry.
Officials have reassured the state government that the funds will be disbursed by March 31, 2025.
