An Ayush Integrated Wellness Camp was organised at Kohima Bible College on Saturday under the theme “Mindful Living”.
During the devotional service, Rev Dr Zotuo Kiewhuo, Principal of KBC, said physical wellbeing is as important as mental and spiritual wellbeing and emphasised the need to maintain all three. He thanked officials of the medical department for organising the camp at the college. Reflecting on biblical teachings, he said the human body is the temple of God and stressed the importance of keeping it fit and healthy. He also spoke on gratitude, healthy living and stewardship, urging people to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy habits.
Dr T Bendangtula, Deputy Director, Ayush, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland, highlighted the concept of wellness and Ayush services available in the state, noting that unhealthy lifestyles are contributing to non communicable diseases.
Dr Lanusunep, Consultant, State Medicinal Plants Board, delivered a presentation titled “The Creator’s Provision”.
The program was chaired by Zhapuvilie Yashü. A plantation drive and an Ayush health camp followed, with students and staff participating.
