A joint inspection of the ongoing Foothills Road construction site at Naganimora was carried out on Saturday by officials of the concerned department, the contractor’s firm M/S Yanna Enterprise, the Konyak Union Unit team led by the Naganimora Unit President, five Village Council Chairmen and village leaders of Naginimora Division, along with the Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC).
According to a joint note, “the Chairmen and the leaders of the 5 Villages had appreciated the PWD, Road and Bridges, the Contractor’s firm for cohesively carrying forward ongoing Foothills Road construction at Naganimora Division and encouraged the NFHRCC for diligently advocating for the success of the Foothills Road connectivity from Tizit to Khelma.”
They also “urged upon them not to abandon in monitoring and supervise works progress along with the concerned Department till the Project is successfully completed.” The leaders further assured “their fullest support to the committee for the noble sacrifices that the committee had been shouldering since 2013 without a break.”
The inspection team noted that “so far only 30% of the allocated works had been completed.” However, the contractor’s firm M/S Yanna Enterprise “confidently assured the joint inspection team that they will complete the work by November 2025 positively.”
