The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) conducted trials for the district football team in preparation for the prestigious 24th Dr. T Ao Trophy 2025 Inter-District Football Championship.
The trials were held on June 16 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Over 50 registered KDFA players participated in the selection process, out of which 33 were shortlisted.
The shortlisted players will now undergo training, after which the final squad representing Kohima district will be finalised.
The selection committee was led by Roko Angami, Senior Vice President of KDFA and an AFC ‘B’ License holder, who served as convenor, and Zakietuolie Khrodi, KDFA Technical Director and an AFC ‘C’ License holder, who served as secretary.
The trials began with a prayer led by KDFA Vice President Khriengulie Rio.
Coaching camps for the shortlisted players are expected to commence soon.
