Mokokchung, September 22 (MTNews): In the interest of public service and in order to ease traffic congestion in and around Kohima town, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C, IAS has on September 22 ordered new arrangements for shifting of parking zone/area for regional taxis/buses as per the decision taken in the RTA meeting on September 16.
In order to facilitate smooth transition, the Deputy Commissioner notified a number of measures that included shifting of Kohima-Mokokchung taxi parking zone. As per the new arrangement, parking zone for Kohima-Mokokchung taxi/bus has been designated at KMC Tata Parking at High School Colony, below Government Polytechnic Institute (Raliezou).
“This order shall come into force from October 1, 2022 and strict action as per relevant sections of the law shall be initiated against the defaulters,” the DC’s order stated.
