Kubolong, March 8 (MTNews): KVK Mokokchung celebrated International Women’s Day with the women under Kubolong Headquarter under the theme, “Empowering women farmers with skill and knowledge.”
The inaugural program was chaired by I. Tangitla, Technical Officer/ Computer Programmer; Senior Scientist & Head, Dr. Kevilietsu Khate delivered the keynote address and shared the importance of the day. Arenla, women leader, Kubolong Baptist Church, shared a short speech highlighting the activities being carried out by the Kubolong women like Sericulture, Kitchen garden, Piggery, Poultry, Bee keeping, etc. The vote of thanks pronounced by Renbemo Ngullie.
The Kendra organized seminar on the topics of “Women in Agriculture” which was delivered by Imtisenla ACTO (Agronomy) and “Nutrition and Agriculture” and “Income Generating Activities” by Moainla Longkumer, Technical Officer. Altogether 39 participants attended the programme.
