Mokokchung, March 9 (MTNews): The Langpangkong Tzükong Mungdang (LTM) informed today that the whole of Langpangkong Range has been declared a “Tax Free Zone” and reiterated that “collection of taxes of any kind for any construction works of roads will not be tolerated under any circumstances within the Langpangkong Range at any cost.” It was also reminded that LTM, which was founded in 1933, function under its theme and vision, “Lenmang aser Telongjem” or “Roads and Unity.”
The Langpangkong Tzükong Mungdang (LTM), LTM Road Co-ordination Committee and Langpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang (LKM) Road Co-ordination Committee has also thanked the Nagaland Police, especially Mokokchung police and Administration, “for taking prompt action by arresting the culprits namely, Wapong Imchen, SS Tatar, and Meyiwapang Aier, SS Leacy Ao Region of NSCN (NIKKI) group for the unfortunate incident that occurred on 27th February 2022 under Akhoya jurisdiction in Langpangkong Range, wherein the cadres forcedly snatched the keys of vehicles and machineries that belong to M/S Nitin Sai Constructions (NSC) which were being used for the ongoing construction of Changtongya-Longleng 2 lane road.” A press note from the LTM stated that the keys that were “snatched away” has been retrieved and handed over to the Construction Company.
