The SQAY Martial Art Association of Nagaland has reappointed Lepzungchiba Jamir as President and D Puchochiyi Gabriel Khamo as Secretary of the association affiliated with the SQAY Martial Art Federation of India, recognised by the Ministry of Sports, Government of India. Their new tenure will be effective from June 27, 2025, to June 27, 2026.
The duo previously held the same posts from July 27, 2024, to March 27, 2025. During that eight-month tenure, the association achieved notable success on the national stage. Under Jamir’s leadership, Nagaland secured two bronze medals at the 3rd SQAY Martial Art National Championship 2024–25 held in Maharashtra from November 18 to 20, 2024. The medals were won by K Pushen in the 62kg category and Khuming in the 66kg category, both in the Senior Category.
“The re-appointment of Mr. Jamir and Mr. Khamo reflects the Federation’s confidence in their leadership and commitment to the promotion and growth of SQAY Martial Art in Nagaland,” the association stated in a press release.
The association also extended its best wishes to the two leaders for another successful term.
