Councilor of the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) from Lijaba Lijen Ward, Wabang Kichu, has undertaken and sponsored repair works on the ward’s main road on Tuesday.
The repair, carried out with concrete mortar, was undertaken at two locations: the junction where the Lijaba Lijen Ward main road meets the IMDH road, and the stretch of the main road starting from the Ward Community Hall. The road serves not only residents of Lijaba Lijen Ward but is also frequently used by people from the adjoining Artang Ward.
Wabang Kichu has taken the initiative several times over the years to repair the same road, which is vital for daily commuters and residents.
