The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has issued a directive to all business establishments and shops within its jurisdiction, instructing them to clean, whitewash, and spruce up their respective premises ahead of the upcoming festive season. The MMC has set a deadline for the completion of this cleanup by November 30, 2024, with specific guidelines on how the premises should be maintained.
Business owners are required to follow the prescribed color scheme: satin-blue for doors and windows, and white for the walls, which must be used uniformly across all shops. For tenants of the MMC Shopping Complex, maroon should be applied to the shutters, while the walls remain white. Similarly, tenants of the ‘B’ Block buildings are instructed to use satin-blue on doors and windows, with white on the walls.
Additionally, LED bulbs must be used to light the exterior of the business establishments at night, and each shop must maintain a “Waste Box” (labeled “USE ME BOX”) for proper garbage disposal. Non-compliance with these directives will result in appropriate action from the office of the undersigned.
