Mokokchung, December 8 (MTNews): The Mokokchung District TB forum committee meeting was held at the conference hall of the Chief Medical Officer’s office today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner.
Addressing the meeting, Dr Limatula Aier CMO urged the attendees to coordinate and disseminate information and awareness on TB elimination to reach all corners of Mokokchung district.
Dr Toshila DTO while highlighting the objectives of the meeting said that the main objectives of the meeting was to meet resolution of problems faced by TB patients, to reduce the related stigma and discrimination, provide awareness on Government scheme, advocate the strict adherence of treatment duration of six months and nutritional support and community engagement to the affected community. She also urged for community participation to eliminate TB by 2025.
