Mokokchung, 16 November (MTNews): The Assam Rifles along with Nagaland Police apprehended one active cadre of NSCN-K (YA) in the general area of Mongsenyimti Village, Mokokchung District, Nagaland. This update was shared by the Assam Rifles on its X platform along with a photograph on 16 November without further details.
The identity of the arrested cadre and when the incident happened could not be independently established by Mokokchung Times till the time of filing this report.
However, as per a report on the news portal East Mojo, the cadre was said to be highly active since 2007 and was involved in various extortion-related activities. The apprehended cadre has been handed over to the Police for further proceedings, it said.
