The Core Committee on Naga Political Issue of the government of Nagaland has on Wednesday decided to meet the NSCN(IM) leadership and the Working Committee of Naga National Political Groups before 31st of this month.
Government spokesperson and minister Neiba Kronu told media persons that the decision was taken during the core committee meeting held in the Chief Minister’s Residential office in Kohima, which was also attended by the two Members of Parliament besides the MLAs.
“The Government of India understands the issues and we also understand their difficulties as well but whatever it may be, we are coming closer as the Naga issue needs threadbare discussion,” he said. Kronu said that they also discussed the use of the Naga flag in the cultural halls and insertion of the Naga constitution in the Indian Constitution.
“But all depends on the understanding and closeness between the negotiators,” he added.
