Nagaland Governor La Ganesan passed away on Friday at around 6:23 pm. He had been undergoing treatment in the ICU of Apollo Hospitals, Chennai for the past week.
It was earlier reported that Ganesan, 80, sustained a head injury in a fall at his residence in Chennai on August 8.
Ganesan, a veteran politician, held various key positions in the BJP and was appointed Governor of Nagaland in February 2023.
