Nagaland registers goalless draw with NCC in Junior Girls (U-17) Subroto Cup

Government High School, Mereima and Home Mission School, 1 Mizo BN NCC, Aizawl played out a goalless draw at the historic Dr BR Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi in their first league match of the Junior Girls (U-17) category of the 63rd edition of the Subroto Cup, which got underway on Monday. A total of 34 teams are participating in the tournament, divided into eight groups, including teams from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, competing in the Junior Girls category. The group winners will qualify for the knockout stages.

The Government High School Mereima Junior Girls (U-17) team representing Nagaland, with coach Bejim and manager William Koso.

The Nagaland team is in Pool-G with NCC, Sainik School, and Air Force School. They will play their next match against Air Force School on August 7.

The players are: Lhuvekulu, Rokothono, Kekhriekuono, Xangyoa Konyak, Khuloik Eviphenuo Semou, Khrieletuono Mhalo, Peteneinuo Khoubve, Leye, Sangki N, Medovinuo, Kekhrieseno, Medozhano Tsureishe, and Nounevino.

The team coach for Nagaland is N Bijim Konyak and the team manager is William Koso.
