The Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) on Tuesday led a joint inspection team to assess the progress of the ongoing Foothills Road construction at Rengmapani under the PWD (R&B) Dimapur Division.
The inspection team comprised representatives from the Rengma Hoho, the concerned department, and the contractor firm responsible for the project. During the visit, the team noted that overall construction activities were progressing satisfactorily. However, certain portions of the road had been adversely affected by incessant rain.
The NFHRCC urged the contractor firm to recast the affected sections once the dry working season begins and to ensure completing the works within the stipulated deadline of December 2025.
The committee also appreciated the proactive involvement of village councils along the Foothills Road, acknowledging their cooperation and contributions in facilitating the ongoing connectivity project.
