The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has yet to decide on the Nagaland government’s proposal to hand over the investigation into the suspected improvised explosive device (IED) blast at Chümoukedima-A to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Director General of Police Rupin Sharma said on Monday.

Pending the Centre’s decision, Sharma said Nagaland Police will continue with its investigation. He said investigators are pursuing multiple leads based on human intelligence and evidence collected from the blast site.
