NPP Nagaland delegates attend capacity building training program in Shillong

Delegates from the National People’s Party (NPP) Nagaland State Unit participated in a one-day Capacity Building Training Programme (CBT) held at the NPP Headquarters, PA Sangma Building, Polo Hills, Shillong. The programme commenced at 10:00 AM and aimed to strengthen the party’s organisational framework while enhancing leadership capacity and electoral preparedness of party functionaries from across states.


Representing NPP Nagaland were K James Vizo, Vice President & Chief Spokesperson, and Kikokul John Kulnu, State Executive Member. From the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) Nagaland, Yabang Imchen, President, and Nokzen Imchen, General Secretary, attended, along with Shaan Khiamn, General Secretary of NPWF Nagaland.

The program began with an opening prayer by Sharailang Warjri, State Secretary, NPYF, followed by a welcome address and felicitation by Nickey Nongkhlaw, National President of NPYF.

During the morning session, Paknga Bage, National General Secretary (Organisation), presented on “Political Party and Its Basic Structure”, while Dr (Mrs) AM Lyngdoh, National Secretary, spoke on “Political Leadership and Its Challenges”. The sessions underscored the importance of organisational discipline, leadership values, and the role of political workers in strengthening democratic institutions.

In the afternoon, Mrs Ane-U Khaming, National President of NPWF, delivered a lecture on “Duties, Responsibilities and Coordination of Different Organs of the Party”, highlighting teamwork and effective coordination among party wings. The final session on “Election and Election Strategies” was conducted by James PK Sangma, National Working President, who shared insights on grassroots mobilisation, strategic planning, and electoral preparedness for upcoming elections.

During the interactive session, K James Vizo appreciated the national leadership’s initiative and suggested that similar programmes be organised at the state level to strengthen the party and equip grassroots workers with better understanding of party structure, leadership responsibilities, and election strategies. The program concluded with a question-and-answer session followed by a vote of thanks. The NPP Nagaland State Unit expressed its gratitude to the national leadership for the capacity-building initiative, noting that it will enhance the party’s structure and the capabilities of its workers across the region.
