Mokokchung, 27 March (MTNews): The NSCN-IM and the NSCN/GPRN (Akato Chophi) have condoled the demise of Z Hozheto Chophy, Ato Kilonser, NPGN/NNC (NA) and Co-Convenor of 7 NNPGs who passed away on 27 March.

 

The NSCN-IM stated in a condolence message that Late Hozheto was a man of principle with integrity and truthfulness who worked for the cause and the right of the Naga people with all sincerity and dedication.

 

“Death of a man of great wisdom and knowledge is a great loss for the Naga people and Nagas as a whole mourn his death,” it said.

 

“The NSCN/GPRN honours the Naga leader for his selfless and valuable contributions rendered towards the cause of the Naga people and which shall remain etched in annals of the nation,” it also said, while expressing its condolences to the bereaved family.

 

The NSCN/GPRN (Akato Chophi) said Late Hozheto followed the footsteps of his late father Zuheshe Chophi, who was a top leader of NNC, and who later founded the Zuheshe Village under Niuland District.

 

“Both father-son duo had forfeited the comforts of family, pleasures of life and pursuing of successful dreams, but decided to dedicate their entire lives for the sake of National Cause,” it said in a condolence message.

 

“Late Hozheto demise has caused great loss for the Sumis in particular and the Nagas in general,” it also said.
