The U-23 Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) team is set to participate in the U-23 Free Style, Greco Roman Style, and Women’s Wrestling Championship to be held in Ranchi, Jharkhand, from August 22 to 24, 2025.
The team will be led by Vivolie Kezo, NWA President, and Vesavolü Soho, NWA Women’s Coordinator. The wrestlers representing Nagaland are Nosezonu Kuotsu (50 kg category, Free Style), Kusayi Tsutso (74 kg category, Free Style), and Venu Vadeo (97 kg category, Greco Roman).
The championship is being organized by the Jharkhand State Wrestling Association under the aegis of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).
A brief send-off programme for the NWA team was held today at the NWA Office, Secretariat Road, where Neikhwezü Venuh, Deacon of CBCK, exhorted and blessed the team. The programme was chaired by Seyielhouvi Nagi, NWA Publicity Secretary, while a short speech was delivered by Keneilel Rote, NWA Treasurer.
The NWA has appealed to the wrestling fraternity to uphold the team in prayer.
