The meeting brought together executives and representatives of affiliated business bodies across Phek district to deliberate on institutional reforms, economic policies, and sustainable business development, according to organizers.

As part of the AGM, a District Business Policy Session was chaired by PDCCI Joint Secretary Truvi Rhi, where several policy agendas and resolutions were presented and adopted after discussion.

On local ownership, the house resolved a policy on “Genuine Local Ownership & Business Transparency,” stating that it would discourage proxy or benami business arrangements. The resolution said, “No Banani Business will be allowed in the Phek district.”

Under the “Protection of Local Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs)” policy, the AGM decided that large corporate retail chains such as Vishal, Jio Mart, and Smart Bazaar “will not be allowed in Phek District,” adding that the measure will be reviewed every five years.
