Phek, 11 January (MTNews): Phoyisha Cultural Organization celebrated Cultural Day with Dr Pritpal Kaur, SP Phek as Special Guest on 10 January 2024 at Yisisotha Village, Meluri, Phek.
Dr Kaur unfurled the flag and inaugurated the program. She spoke on significance of cultural values and urged everyone to preserve their rich heritage and culture. She asked to document one’s histories and generational traditions. She also motivated the youths to follow their dreams and career instead of drugs or other intoxicants to make their tribe and society more peaceful and prosperous.
The cultural troupes and teams that participated in Traditional Games from ten villages including Phor, New Phor, Wuzu, Molen, Yisi, Shatuza, Weziho, Yisisota, Hutsü and Küzatü.
Traditional bow and arrow archery, singing, dancing and traditional game competitions were held. More than 500 persons attended the program.
