Mokokchung, November 10 (MTNews): Minister PWD (Housing and Mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum along with Longkong village council members and NDPP party officials inspected the on-going road construction and Traditional Community Hall construction at Longkong Village on 10 November 2022.
He expressed satisfaction on the progress of both the projects and praised the Longkong villagers led by the village council members for the cooperation and support extended to the contractors. He also exuded confidence that the council members will continue to cooperate with the government and other agencies when it comes to developmental activities in the coming future.
It is to be mentioned that an amount of three crore rupees was allotted under Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) 2022-23 for blacktopping of road from NH-02 to Longkong Village and the construction of a Traditional Tribal Community Hall is being undertaken in Longkong village from Tribal Affairs department.
