Games 2022 underway
The annual sports & games of Queen Mary Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung started today, 28 of April 2022 at Mokokchung Village Playground with Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung Shashank Pratap Singh (IAS) as special guest and Lt. Col. Dhruvashree Das, 2 IC 23 Assam Rifles as guest of honour.
Shashank Pratap Singh on the occasion said, “Sports and games are the most important mechanism through which we develop a team spirit,” while further adding that this type of events not only help students evolve physically and mentally but also socially.
Sports and games are the most important instruments through which one can channelize the energy and enthusiasm of the younger generation towards positive objective, he said, while further stressing that studies are important but extra co-curricular activities are also equally important.
Earlier at the program, a welcome speech was delivered by Rev. Fr. Sajimon, Principal, Queen Mary Hr Sec School while guest of honour, Lt. Col. Dhruvashree Das, 2 IC 23 Assam Rifles lighted the sports meet torch.
The inaugural program featured a march past parade from various houses of the school, a drill display and a tug of war between the invitees and teaching stuff.
