Father’s House Church in Chumoukedima has announced the resignation of its Senior Minister, Robert Kikon, following revelations of his alleged involvement in serious immoral acts that violate the church’s ethical and moral standards.

In an official statement released by the church, it was revealed that after careful consideration and investigation, it has come to light that he has “engaged in conduct that does not align with the moral and ethical standards we uphold as a church”.

It further continued that after uncovering his alleged immoral acts, the members of Father’s House required his resignation, and the same became official on 22 September 2024.

“Effective immediately, Robert Kikon has stepped down from his role as the Senior Pastor and will no longer be serving in any capacity of the Church nor is he to represent us in any manner,” read the statement, signed by Pastor Nune Kire, Pastor Asabe Chuilo, and the church’s board.

The church also stated that they are working to ensure that Kikon receives necessary counseling for his personal healing and repentance. At the same time, efforts are being made to support those directly impacted by his actions.

“To anyone who has been hurt by our former senior pastor, we greatly regret that we were unaware, and we offer our moral support,” the statement added, acknowledging the pain, disappointment, and confusion the news may cause within the community.

While specific details of the allegations against Kikon have not been publicly confirmed, unverified reports suggest possible criminal behavior, although no official statements have been made at this time.

Father’s House Church reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, integrity, and accountability while maintaining transparency, integrity, and accountability in all aspects of our ministry.

The church leadership expressed gratitude for the strength and grace of God, asking for prayers for everyone involved in the situation. They also stressed their dedication to upholding biblical moral standards and ensuring that the church remains a place of love, trust, and integrity.
